Tonight my roommate/best friend came home.
I left the garage light on like a good friend… Well I thought I was being a good friend.
Turns out when you leave a light on for someone, you are also expected to walk outside and turn it off.
As she walked up the way to the door, I peaked out and asked nicely to shut the lights off. I was echoed with a stern “WHY DID YOU EVEN TURN THEM ON IF YOU EXPECTED ME TO SHUT THEM OFF”
Funny how acts of what you think are kindness can be turned around into making you feel like they were acts of pure stupidity…
I’ve found that living with her I know understand what it is like to be a man in a relationship…
THE RULES:
Stay out of the kitchen when she’s cooking.
Don’t talk to her until she has had her coffee.
Do not wake her up.
Do not disturb her while she is getting ready.
When she thinks she is proving a point, let her.
Do not disagree.
Compliment her, then ask a serious question.
I’ve found that I am now more aware of my significant other’s feelings more than ever. I have respect for my man and I listen when he speaks. I’m not afraid of being wrong, as a matter of fact I own up to my wrong doings. I encourage criticism and I learn from it.
Woman don’t have to be difficult. We are quite simple. However, the ones that are handed everything on a silver spoon because they make a big deal out of everything are the ones that ultimately end up alone or unhappily married to money…
I’ll take my chances with an honest and truthful relationship vs. always getting my way.
In other words, if you live with a woman and you know my pain, sleep peacefully knowing that you will be the one to live happily ever after, and the other person will always get what’s coming to them.
Gotta love karma.
